About the house.     Over fifty years ago two dear friends came to fall in love with Portugal. A couple of years later they came across the opportunity of making real the dream of a house here. And what a beautiful real-life-dream it has turned out to be! Situated on the cliffs, overlooking the sea, just outside the lovely little town of Lagos they couldn´t have found a better spot to start building. We would say the house is "spirited". Shaped to blend with the surrounding nature its soft, round figure creates a warm, gentle, and welcoming atmosphere that has been added on to over the years by all the lovely people and spirits who have lived here, and visited. Making it a wonderful place for living, spending time or holidays. As well as being a perfect setting for workshops, retreats and creative events of all kinds.     Casa Maranders has five double bedrooms (one is private), airconditioning, four bathrooms, one guest-wc, good kitchen, diningroom, large livingroom with fireplace, tv, wine-cellar, big terass with pool, two inner patios, roofterass, garage, and a big lovely garden with pinaoes, lemontree and lots of flowers. All taken best care of  by a wonderful woman, Ana, who has been here from the beginning. When the house has visitors she comes in every day, if wanted, to help out. The house has also a gardener and a poolman that checks in now and then.         From the house the ocean-view is good, although not as breathtaking as it used to be in the early days when the area hardly had any houses at all except for this. Then the closest neighbours were the shepheards and the goats and the wild dogs. Now the urbanisation has reached in but we still have those beautiful walks in wild, protected nature along the cliffs in both directions from the house. The one on the left is right around the corner, and the western one will take you ten minutes to reach by foot. Same road and same ten minutes will also take you down to lovely beach Porto do Mos. Closest beach, though, is Canavial that is within foot-reach in just a couple of minutes. And, as we also mentioned before, sometimes we do rent the house out - provided its to people we feel treats it in the same way as we do - with love and respect!        Casa Maranders Welcomes You!  Please contact us for more information!
